Come one, come all

In New York City you can find a special place for every occasion. A go-to spot for an evening with a bunch of friends, or a quiet place for a date full of funny conversations and sometimes a place to celebrate with your family. What if you could find all this in one quaint place hidden in plain sight in the streets of Hell’s Kitchen? I am talking about Gossip Bar & Restaurant. An Irish pub, which is the perfect concoction of everything you need in a hangout place at the best value. With the multiple screens showcasing trending sports, this place transforms into a sports pub whenever it’s game day. Football Sundays at Gossip Bar are my favorite when I need to catch up with a few buddies. On weekdays this also has the perfect ambience for a nice family get together and that too of any size. Although this place is a hardcore Irish bar, the environment is still good for kids hanging out over a dinner with you. Its proximity to various theaters make Gossip a good pre-show dining place too. Gossip Bar’s versatility and pleasant space has always made me come back for a great time.

Gossip Bar has all the ingredients to make it a favorite- great space, nice music, a diverse selection of drinks, tasty food and a friendly staff. The highlight of this place is its delicious food with perfect portion sizes and reasonable prices. I go to the bar quite often with different friends, and Gossip has never disappointed me. I love ordering their Gossip burger, sliced filet mignon, Shepherd`s pie, P.E.I. spicy mussels, beef stew and lamb shank. Sundays at Gossip are crowded in comparison to other days. A lot of tourists come to Gossip when suggested by the nearby hotels they are staying at. I have met people who have ended up coming to Gossip for all their meals on their trip to NYC.

I visit Gossip Bar on Sundays primarily for the bottomless brunch. The perfectly cooked steak, tender and wonderfully seasoned. The perfection called hash browns. And to top it all, the servers are always attentive and make sure that the mimosas are always bottomless. It is ninety minutes of bliss.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place when a group of old friends planned a reunion there. I didn’t know what the venue was, but when we reached Gossip I knew we were up for a good time. Since then, Gossip has become our annual reunion venue. The private party room gives you the perfect space for a party for a group as big as fifty people. The different packages for short parties, late night drinks and a three course meal make it a great destination for any kind of casual get-togethers.

I think what makes people look for such a place is the diverse evenings you can plan in just one restaurant-cum-bar. It is a one stop destination; a family restaurant, a sports pub, a casual date dine-in and even a party venue. There is space for everyone in this warm Irish bar. Just step in and good time is assured.
